QUEENSLAND AGATE
Banded
agates from Queensland, Australia. There are two general types, the rosella and
the parrot. The rosella is most often cherry red on bluish-gray bandings, but
can be other colors including white, pastel pink, and so on. The parrot type is
often greenish colors and golds, but again can vary some. Since banded green
agates are rare, it is highly sought after. There are several commercial mines
there, but surface picking has gotten slim. Minimum order from this page is $20.00.
